Course Description
Students is educated on Arc Welding Safety and the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding process (GTAW-TIG).
This includes proper techniques for welding, and how the GTAW process works.
Each student will be able to perform a fillet, corner and lap joint in the down-hand position.
A skills test, which consist of a visual and bend test, must be passed after each welding position.
A certificate is issued upon successful completion.
Job Opportunities
Students will be empowered to be employed in general entry level production and maintenance welding in: Power plants, Petrochemical Plants, Machine Shops, Oil fields, Pipeline, Refineries and Fabrication plants where pre-manufacturing is assembled.
