Course Description
Students is educated on welding safety on the Shielded Metal Arc Welding, and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Processes (SMAW/GTAW-Pipe).
This includes proper techniques and electrode selection for welding pipe in various welding positions (1G, 2G, 3G, 5G, 6G), using 2 processes.
Every student will be taught to weld using a pipe and equipped with the expertise to clear the 6G welding test.
Successful completion of a skills test is required for every welding position.
A certificate is issued upon successful completion.
Job Opportunities
Students will be empowered to perform general entry level production and maintenance welding in: Power plants, Petrochemical Plants, Oil Fields, Pipelines, Refineries on mild steel, stainless steel and carbon steel,
Machine shops and Fabrication plants where pre-manufacturing is assembled.
Material used in training: Mild Steel Pipe.
