Course Description
Students is educated on arc welding safety and the Gas Metal Arc Welding Process (GMAW).
This includes proper techniques for welding and how the GMAW process works.
Each student will be able to perform a fillet and groove weld with or without backing in all positions.
A skills test, which consist of a visual and bend test, must be passed after each welding position.
A certificate is issued upon successful completion.
Job Opportunities
Students will be empowered to perform general entry level structural welding in: Power plants, Refineries, Petrochemical Plants, and Fabrication plants where per-manufacturing is assembled.
